Video: In-the-Pot Swirl Soap Making | Acrylic Mold Review

Custom Craft Tools recently sent me an acrylic mold to try out and review. I decided to make a soap with a single layer on bottom and an in-the-pot swirl on top. I really enjoyed using this well-built mold. I especially liked being able to see the swirl as I poured the soap.  :)

Thank you for reading my post & watching the video!

  1. One of the prettiest soaps I think you’ve ever made! The acrylic mold added a whole new dimension to your video and made it even more fun to watch! Thanks for sharing your awesome talent.

  2. Holly I live your videos, they are always inspiring. For the in-the-pot swirl (in the acrylic mold) can you tell me where I can purchase the orange Illite clay? I did not see it on your Amazon page. Thank you.

    • Thank you so much, Diane! Sure! I purchased my illite clay from Symphony Scents. That’s the only place I’ve been able to find it lately. They call it burnt orange clay and their description photo is really dark, but the INCI name is illite clay and it looks just like the crafters choice version I’ve used in the past.

  4. Hi Holly,
I purchase an acrylic mold from them too. It was quite easy to unmold during the first time. Unfortunately, my soap has been stuck ever since. I’ve tried water reduction, adding salt, freezing etc. What are your thought? Is it giving you trouble too because I haven’t seen you use it again in your videos. Thanks!
